Preston Session Court House

Preston Session Court House

The Session House adjoining Preston Prison is an Edwardian baroque building.

It is a Grade II* listed building with an ornate exterior and interior, and a purpose built court centre.

Lancashire County Council is currently transforming the building into the Museum of Lancashire.

The works are ongoing and this stone masonry and building restoration project will be updated as the project develops.

The works include/involved:

  • Fully cleaned the external façade of the building
  • Stone masonry repairs
  • Remove cementitious pointing and re-point in Natural Lime-in Natural Lime
  • Ferrous cramp renovation
