All Saints Church, Bradford

Old Midland Bank, Loughborough

The former Midland bank in Loughborough is constructed of Portland Limestone and was built around 1880.

Stone Edge was employed to fully restore the façade removing modern traffic pollutants and carbon build up.

The natural stone masonry project cleaned the facades using the system of multiple fine mist sprays, which requires constant monitoring, thus avoiding over-saturation of the façade.

The works also involved the removal of poor previous cementitious repair to façade details and reinstating in a combination of carved stone indents and insitu repairs.

The stoneworks include/involved:

  • The removal of poor previous cementitious repair to façade details.
