Brodsworth Hall, Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Conservation and transformation project
OUR WORK HERE
Brodsworth Hall is a Grade I listed building, built in the 1860s as a family home. It survived with remarkably few changes until taken on by English Heritage in 1990. The building was in much need of sensitive repair, to ensure its future and preserve the unique collection of artefacts within.
Stone Edge North was appointed as main contractor, to carry out an overhaul of the M&E infrastructure services, together with the conservation and repair of French doors, timber windows, roof lanterns, external masonry and all associated works. Careful consideration had to be paid to the containment routes of the M&E services and the protection of the historic fabric. The building remained open to the public throughout the contract period.
