All Saints Church, Bradford

All Saints Church, Bradford

The All Saints Church at Little Horton Green Bradford is Grade II* listed church built in 1864, considered to be one of the finest of Bradford churches for its time.

Repairs included re-pointing and stone masonry repairs to the spire, reconstruction of the vestry chimney and masonry repairs to the clerestory windows.

One of the main project’s hurdles was to safely erect and dismantle access scaffold to the entire 201ft spire to facilitate the lime pointing works to the spire and repairs to the spire finial and lightning conductor.

Stone Edge is particularly proud of its achievements on this Church because it is the tallest building restoration to date.

The works include/involved:

  • Erection of 201ft access scaffold
  • Repair of spire finial and lightning conductor
  • Full re-point of church spire in natural hydraulic lime mortar
  • Replace ornate sections of tracery window to North
  • Take down and rebuild of vestry chimney
