Our Midlands office at Rugeley has been a hive of activity recently, with exciting projects such as the high-profile restoration of Smethwick Council House. The much-loved landmark clock tower has been completely transformed, with its original colour scheme restored and the historically important Smith of Derby clock returned to its former glory. At Holy Trinity Church, Sutton Coldfield, we undertook a full reordering of the church – including an underfloor heating system which required the entire floor surface of the church to be hand-dug to a depth of 500-1500 mm.
Our project at St Mary’s Church, Freeby, brought a Grade I listed building back from a state of disrepair into use by the public, and won a commendation at the Natural Stone Awards in the process. Already, 2018 is proving to be another bumper year.
With all this activity, and plenty more in the pipeline, it makes sense to consolidate Stone Edge’s presence in the region and we are pleased to announce the opening of our new central Birmingham offices. By moving into the heart of the city, we will be better placed to focus on our expanding client base in the region and service our contracts there more efficiently.
Keith Learoyd, Operations Director in the Midlands commented:
“The Midlands region has always been important to Stone Edge and we’re extremely confident that our investment here in Birmingham will be well-rewarded”.
Stone Edge Director, Richard Denneny says:
“This is a positive addition for us, as well as being strategic. We’ve been extremely busy with some high-value, exciting projects in the region and the new office in Hospital Street, Hockley will ensure that we are able to continue to give the best possible service to our existing clients, whilst developing new relationships in the Midlands”.
