Stone Edge have been appointed to carry out the restoration and development works for Kelmarsh Hall’s “Tunnelling through the Past” project. The project, which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is the largest ever restoration project undertaken at the Grade I listed hall.
Des Brack, Operations Manager for the Kelmarsh Trust, said “We are extremely pleased to announce the Stone Edge appointment and are excited to commence the works to restore the basement and laundry rooms and to provide a learning space at the hall. We have been greatly impressed by their staff, their practical approach and enthusiasm for the project and very much look forward to working closely with them over the coming year.”
The works commenced in July 2016 and are due for completion in July 2017.
