Consolidation works are underway at Sutton Scarsdale Hall

A recent programme of works has been undertaken by English Heritage to preserve and protect the fragments of the original stucco interior at the grandiose Georgian mansion situated in Derbyshire.

English Heritage has appointed Donald Insall Associates to carry out design work and Stone Edge to undertake the completion of a variety of building restoration works to this very important Grade 1 listed building.

The work is being managed in two phases. The first consists of extremely high level masonry repairs, timber beam conservation works and a large amount of plain plasterwork repairs. Following this phase, further high level masonry repairs as well as decorative plasterwork will be carried out.

The restoration and conservation work is due to be completed in early 2017.
